Stephen Henry Grueber worked in Belfast, Ireland before emigrating to VDL in August 1839. He managed W. M. Orr's property "Norton Mandevilee" then purchased a property on Prosser's Plains called "Brockly". He had four sons and one daughter.
Charles Frederick Grueber, son of Stephen Henry Grueber and Elizabeth Miller married Eliza Jane Elliston at Brighton in 1873.
