Leslie Norman (1876-1954) was an author, member of the Royal Society of Tasmania and Nomenclature Board and member of the 'Come to Tasmania' movement. He had a particular interest in shipping history.;;Two sons, Donald (Don) Manners Thirkell Norman (1909-2001) and Noel Wilson Norman (1900- 1981) were also writers. Noel Wilson Norman published novels and short stories under the pseudonym Louis Kaye.
