The Women's Electoral Lobby [WEL] was formed in all states and territories prior to the 1972 Federal Election. This political lobby group whose broad objectives are to bring about legislative changes to ensure equality for women and to influence and educate public opinion on a wide range of issues which directly affect women. ;;;;;;
