Description:
Medical practitioner who worked for the colonial government from 1829 as a district assistant surgeon and also store-keeper at Waterloo Point Military Station. In 1844 he became secretary of the Royal Society. He was an amateur naturalist and active in the Glamorgan community. He lived at Kelvedon with the Cotton family.
