Alfred (Alf) Sellars was born on 7 August 1914 in Sheffield, Tasmania to Robert Daniel and Rhoda Susannah Sellars (formerly Murfet). On 18 March 1939 Alfred married Dorothy May (Dot) Morphett. Dorothy was also from Sheffield, born on 17 September 1913 to Walter and Ellen Amelia Morphett (formerly Butler).;;Alfred and Dorothy were long time residents of Sheffield. Alfred worked as a shop assistant there and was an amateur film maker. He served in the AIF during World War 2. Alfred and Dorothy They had two daughters Judith and Pat.;;Dorothy died on 13 January 1979 and Alfred died on 25 March 2002. ;;
