Description:
Francois Fouche arrived in Hobart in 1938 as a wrestling promoter. He began a gymnasium, a coffee-lounge and tried to establish a resort-style hotel at Old Beach. Always controversial, especially after he was acquitted on a manslaughter charge, he was one of Hobart's most colourful personalities
