Beatrice Travers was born in England 22/04/1858 and died in Hobart in 1936. She married Charles William Butler in 1882 . They lived at 'Ashfield' Sandy Bay, Tasmania where they raised their family. Beatrice was the eldest child of Samuel Smith Travers and Louisa Travers (nee Darbyshire). Samuel Smith Travers was born in England on 26/03/1826 and died at Bellerieve, Tasmania on 8/03/1888. In 1857 he married Louisa Darbyshire in England,( born 13/07/1834, died England 1911). They had fourteen children and migrated to Tasmania in 1870 and lived variously at 'Derwentwater' Sandy Bay; 'Boa Vista', New Town and 'Heathfield' Davey Street, Hobart.
