On 19 March 1964, 12 ladies got together to form the Sorell Garden club. They held afternoon meetings at the CWA rooms of the Sorell Memorial Hall every second month. In 1984 membership had grown to 32 with some gentlemen joining. ;;;;At the June 2002 meetings "Districts" was added to the title.
