The Tasmanian Aero Club is based at the Launceston Airport near Evandale (Tasmania). It began life as the Tasmanian Section of the Australian Aero Club, later becoming the Tasmanian Aero Club. It was first registered as a company on 21 November1927. The Club was in recess during World War 2 and resumed activities in 1945. It has operated continuously since then.
