Description:
The Allied Geographical Section was instigated by General Douglas MacArthur as an intelligence organisation comprising American, Australian and Dutch personnel from the Army, Navy and Air Force of each nation. The South West Pacific Area included the water and land masses north of Australia. The group gathered information used for planning campaigns in the area during the Second World War.
