The Northern Caverneers began as the Tasmanian Caverneering Club (Northern Branch) but later separated from the Hobart based parent group. It has been active for about 40 years exploring and documenting caves mostly at Mole Creek, but also intermittantly active further afield. The group endeavors to help others who want to experience the wonders of the caving scene, and spend much time in the summer helping visitors as guides. The group is affiliated with the Australian Speleological Federation.
