Peter Willmott was born in Hobart in 1946. He studied Architecture at the Hobart Technical College and the Tasmanian College of Advanced Education. He received his diploma of Architecture in 1973. From 1977 to 1983 he travelled overseas working in both Teheran and London. On his return he worked in Hobart at the Centre for the Arts Project and began his own practice in 1987. From 1984 to 1993 he was a part time tutor at the Departments of Architecture and Urban Design, University of Tasmania
