Description:
The mine was situated in the Mineral Division of North Dundas and is on the Western slope of Mount Hamiliton and about 1 mile from Williamsford. By 1915 the miners considered themselves to be Mt Lyell employees particularly when it came to rates of pay. In 1916 all mining leases owned by the Company, as well of those of the Tasmanian Copper Company (at Rosebery) and the Primrose Mining Company were acaquired by The Mount Read and Rosebery Mines Limited.
