Democratic Socialists (DS) shall be comprised of those members of the ALP (Tasmanian Branch) who strive for the development and implementation of Socialist Principles. Members shall oppose at all times the exploitation of all persons and strive to uphold the dignity of labour and act accordingly in all political and industrial involvement, and shall seek and support candidates for public office who endorse and are committed to its socialist objectives and views, and encourage and protect those who make stands on issues that this body supoorts.
