Leonard (Len) Standish Shirley (1942- ) was a Victorian born electrician who in the 1960s worked in Tasmania for CM Bell electrical contractors. An amateur photographer, Shirley photographed the sites that he visited including Consolidated Home Industries (CHI) project sites. On the weekends he would take images of the west-coast area on his pentax spotmatic (35mm slides), roliflex (6x6cm), and voighlander bessa 2 (6x9cm). Shirley's great grandfather at one time ran the 'Man at the Wheel' Hotel in Hobart.
