These four men studied at the University of Sydney in the late 1950s - early 1960s. They were members of the Sydney University Rover Scout Crew and together climbed Federation Peak in February 1962.;;Dr Geoffrey Eric Ford (b.1939) studied at the University of Sydney, and was a member of the Sydney University Bush Walkers and the Sydney University Rover-Scout Crew. During the 1960s he worked as a veterinary cadet for the Tasmanian Department of Agriculture. After field work in the Bass Strait Islands, he lived in New Norfolk and Launceston. He was an active member of mountaineering and caverneering clubs, and contributed to the South West Committee. He later pursued an academic career as a pathologist, undertaking post-doctoral work in the UK before settling in Adelaide.;;Professor Ray Lowenthal had a career in clinical oncology. He studied medicine at Sydney, before postgraduate training in the UK. He returned to Australia to a position at the University of Tasmania in 1975 and was Director of the Department of Clinical Haematology & Medical Oncology at the Royal Hobart Hospital from mid-1980s to 2009. In the Australian Queen's Birthday honours list for 2006 he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) "for service to medicine in the fields of oncology and palliative care and as a clinician, educator, researcher and contributor to professional organisations at state and national levels".;;Dr Arthur McHugh (b. 1941) formerly from Western Australia completed a PhD in Chemistry Research before studying economics and pursuing a career in forensic accountancy. He retired as Tasmanian Government Auditor-General, a role he performed for 11 years.;;Dr. Rick A Jamieson (b. Feb 1941- Oct 2013) completed a PhD in engineering, lived overseas after which he returned to Australia where he continued mountain climbing, scouting and bushwalking. He was author of the guide, Canyons near Sydney, and Bowen Mountain Bushwalks;;
