Graeme Andrews has a long history of documenting water craft by taking photographs and later writing articles on related subjects.;;He has both taken and collected extensive photographs of a variety of ships and boats around Australia.;;He was born in Sydney and the bulk of his amassed collection relates to Sydney Harbour, however he photographs water craft around Australia.;;Mr Andrews worked in the Royal Australian Navy from 1955 to 1968 and the reserve from 1968 to 1980. He left the RAN as a Petty Officer. He also worked full-time as a journalist-photographer, and later as master of Manly and Sydney ferries, tugs and harbour craft. He has published a number of books of a maritime nature and has a Masters degree in Modern History from Macquarie University;;Mr Andrews has donated many photographs to instiutions around Australia.
