Description:
Evandale was originally known as Morven. It was proclaimed a township in March 1848. ;;;;In 1993 as part of the reorganisation of local government in Tasmania most of Evandale was amalgamated with Longford, Campbell Town, Ross and part of Fingal to form the new municipality of Northern Midlands Council.The exception was a section of Relbia and Franklin Village which were absorbed into the City of Launceston.
