To hear and determine G B Archer's appeal pursuant to Marine Act 1921. Archer appealed against his suspension for three months of his master's certificate following the sinking of the SS Morse at Brooke Street, Hobart 5 October 1949. No formal records of the Court have been transferred to the Archives Office but personal copies belonging to Harry O'May, one of the nautical assessors, can be found at NS543/1 (formerly seriesed as CBE59). Papers include transcript of evidence (incomplete), determination, and O'May's notes about the appeal.
