Description:
The Ambulance Commission of Tasmania was abolished under the Ambulance Act of 1977 which passed the Commission's functions of the establishment and administration of ambulance services on to the new Authority. The 1977 Act also passed to the interim Authority the responsiblity to provide for the election of employee representatives as members of ambulance boards. ;;;;This interim Authority continued until the Tasmanian Ambulance Service was constituted under the Ambulance Service Act 1982.
