Description:

To provide for the supply of water in bulk to Hobart, Glenorchy, Clarence, Kingborough, Sorell, Richmond, Brighton, New Norfolk and Green Ponds.

In May 1997 the State Government according to SR 1990/107 brought the Board under control of the local councils in and around Hobart. It was renamed the Hobart Regional Water Authority and began trading as Hobart Water.
