Description:
To organise the extermination of rats in the City of Hobart. It was a joint committee comprising representation from the Department of Public Health, Hobart City Council and Marine Board of Hobart. Similar Committees were established at other ports in Tasmania.
Legislation Creating:
The Committee was set up by the Chief Secretary in May 1900 (CSD 22/39/28 and JPPP No.5 of 1901).
