Description:
Created by the amalgamation of the Departments of Construction and Roads and Transport, this shortlived agency was responsible for design and supervision services for the construction and maintenance of public buildings and the State's road system (and associated bridges and jetties). A change in Government policy later in the year resulted in reversal of the process of integration with some services being prepared for privatisation and responsibility for others being transferred to local government.~
