Description:
The previous Road Trust was never formally abolished, and its members continued to meet as a Main Road Board, but its functions had been taken over by the Burnie Town Board and so the Trust was formally reconstituted on 24 Aug 1900 and continued to operate until replaced by a municipal council in 1908. The road district was centred on what became the Stowport ward of the new municipality.~
