Description:
Black Brush State School was under the Board of Education's control 1852-1891, 1895-1922, 1933, 1935-39. Prior to 1852, it was a Church of England school.;;;;A farewell social was tendered to the Black Brush State School teacher (Miss N. Skinner) by the Parents and Friends' Association in December 1939, prior to her departure following the closing of the school. The Department transported the children to the Pontville State School.
