Description:
There has been a school at Campbell Town since at least the 1830's. Education Reports record that the school was only open for 138 days in 1838 as all schools were closed because of the polio epidemic. In 1840, 32 children were enrolled at the Government Day School . A new Campbell Town State school was opened in 1938.;;Campbell Town School became an Area School in 1949, a District School in 1973 and a District High School in 1978.;;
