Description:
The earliest admission register availlable for this school begins in 1899, but the school was in operation prior to this date and was located in the cenrtre of the townhip. A new brick state school building was erected in 1925. The school closed in 1938 to make way for the new Cygnet Area School, the first of it's kind south of Hobart.
