In a paragraph in the 1867 'Cornwall Chronicle', Mr. Girle writes complaining of the dilapidated state of the school in the above locality, the fences being broken, the gates in a falling condition, and the place requiring painting. The Chairman said that the Secretary would write to the landlord on the matter.;;
