The Probate Registry is a division of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.;;The Court is the oldest Supreme Court in Australia, established by Charter on the 30 October, 1823, proclaimed on the 31 March 1824 and sitting for the first time on 10 May 1824. ;;The Registrar is its principal administrative officer and has the power to grant probate of wills, or letters of administration where there is no will. This process is administered by the Probate Registry.
