Description:
The first registered inquests were administered under The Coroners Act 1913 under the jurisdiction of the Attorney General. In 1983 the Attorney General's Department was amalgamated with other agencies to become the Law Department. The Coroners Act 1995 established a Coronial Division within the Magistrates Court.
