The Board registers, and regulates the conduct of, Dental Prosthetists.;;;;The 1996 Act continued the body corporate formerly known as the Dental Mechanics Registration Board with similar powers but altered its composition. It now comprises 3 registered Dental Prosthetists nominated by their professional body and 2 representatives of the consumers of dental prosthetic services nominated by the Minister. All serve 3 year terms and any member can be appointed chairman.
