Heritage Tasmania's object is to work to protect, conserve and promote Tasmania's unique historic heritage assets, and does so in conjunction with the Heritage Council, the Tasmanian Heritage sector and other areas of Government.
Heritage Tasmania provides expert heritage advice to property owners, visitors and the community, local government, the private sector, State Government agencies and Government on heritage matters, within the policy guidelines laid out by the Heritage Council.
