Enquiry into management of the railways which led to the sacking of the then Commissioner of Railways, George Wishart Smith, who subsequently sued the Government. Report is published in JPPP No 18 of 1923. There is also a reply by the Commissioner of Railways published in JPPP No 31 of 1923. The Commission comprised George William Stead (Chariman), Frank Lindsay Gunn and Alfred William Burbury with Mr L. Norman as Secretary.;;
