This department was formed when Tourism was moved out of the Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment into the Department of Economic Development, hence forming the Department of Economic Development and Tourism.;;;;In 2009 this department was closed and amalgamated into the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment and the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts.
