Description:
On 1 December 2004 the Mersey Community Hospital was transferred back to the State from Healthscope Ltd. The North West Regional Hospital now operated across two campuses (Burnie and Mersey Campus). ;;;;On 1 November 2007 the ownership and running of the Mersey Campus was transferred to the Australian Government. However, the Australian Government arranged for the State Government to assume management responsibility for the Hospital.
