Description:
The Tasmanian Industrial Relations Amendment (Enterprise Agreements and Workplace Freedom) Act 1992 provided for the establishment of the office of the Enterprise Commissioner. The Commissioners responsibilities were to undertake an advisory and facilitative role with employers and employees wishing to enter into enterprise agreements. The role included ensuring all parties understood the proposed agreement and their rights and obligations under the Act.;;After the abolition of the Office of the Enterprise Commissioner the Tasmanian Industrial Commission handled enterprise agreements.
