Housing, Disability and Community Services provided a range of human services. These include policy, planning, reporting and contract management for disability and community services and support for community sector relations. It also provided policy, planning, reporting and contract management for a range of social housing and homelessness programs. As of 2022 a new statutory housing authority, Homes Tasmania, was established, with Disability and Community Services moving to the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
