How to Use:
The photographs have been professionally taken by (among others) The Mercury, other local newspapers, Leicagraph Studios in the Quadrant (Launceston), the Education Department Teaching Aids Centre and the Department of Film Production (and its successors). In addition, the Office of the Agent-General acquired photographs from other professional photographers such as Brian Curtis and Ben Sheppard.

Photographs taken before 1 January 1955 are all out of copyright.

Photographs in this series taken after 1 January 1955 "may be reproduced providing a printed acknowledgement to ... [the photographer] is made in the publication in which the print appears." This wording is taken from text appearing on the reverse of the collected photographs. The names of the photographers in the post-1955 photographs have been listed in the item descriptive data. Where there is no photographer stated the images are government images and therefore copyright is retained by the government and is at the discretion of TAHO.

These are photographs of displays used in the Agent Generals' Office, The Strand, London, plus photographs of Tasmanian scenes and industries used for the promotion of Tasmania in that Office and throughout the United Kingdom.
