Series notes:
This series consists of bound volumes of Contract Plans for the construction of various railway lines in Tasmania. A number of these volumes were prepared as part of the tendering process for the construction of the permanent way. As a condition of the tendering process the plans issued to potential contractors were required to be returned to the Tasmanian Government Railways upon completion of the tendering process. Consequently a number of duplicate sets of plans existed. This series is potentially the same a P1331 but as this set has annotations it was decided to retain this series. Plans were drawn by the Public Works Department and many are signed by Fincham, Engineer in Chief of the Tasmanian Government railways.
