Please contact Legal Services, Department of Education, to view the closed items in this record series. Within this series, the access conditions vary with more than one access condition governing this series. This is because the Department of Education has reconsidered its position on access. Information recorded on the admission registers has changed over the years and in some instances may include information that might impact on individuals if unreasonably disclosed. The Archives Act 1983 does not allow any retrospective increase of access restrictions.
Series notes:
Individual student records for students attending Hobart High School and who were born between 1938 and 1965. For some students their record is just in the form of an admission form, for others there is a student record card with a photograph. Details recorded include, name and date of birth of student, name and occupation of parent/guardian, schools attended and dates and school record. Some have final year reports attached.

First consignment is arranged alphabeticaly by leaving year, and boys and girls are arranged seperately. The second consignment is arranged by year of birth, and girls and boys are interspersed.
