Series notes:
This series records the efforts of the University to gather information in order to commemorate its graduates and students who fought in World War One. The University Chancellor, Hon Tetley Gant, and his wife, wanted to present an Honour Board to the University and commissioned Ellen Nora Payne to make it. The Registrar wrote to each graduate, student or family with a form for them to complete along with a request for a photograph of the subject in uniform. The photographs in this series are the collected photographs sent in response. The written papers in this series comprise the completed forms and associated correspondence.

The original control number given to this series when it was in the former University Archives was UT/87 (11A).

These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
