Series notes:
This series is comprised of Certificates of the Structural Condition of Buildings located in the Esperance Municipality. They are in the form of reports and were comrpised by the Building Inspector and relate to old or partially dilapidated structures around the Esperance Municipality. The structures are generally uninhabited and in varying states of decay. The recommendations generally made are that the owner be given a chance to rennovate the structure or that a demolition order be served. The reports state where the building is situated, giving ht eStreet name and town. It also lists the name and address of the owner and the names of the occupiers of the property. Most of the properties inspected however are structures that are unihabitable. The inspector then lists the buildings exterior defects and then the recommendation is noted under the heading Genral Certification. A photograph of the property is al so attached to each certificate, and each report is signed by the building inspector.

These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
System of Arrangement:
These reports are unbound, and are on loose leaf pages. They are in no particular order, but as there are only 32 reports they are easy to go through.
