Series notes:
The subjects documented in this series are all related to the administration of the police system generally, and particular activities in which Police Magistrates took part (e.g., the campaign against the aborigines) are included. The series was discontinued after 24 March 1835, but resumed on 4 January 1836. The series is not complete. Each volume has its own index both to subjects and addressees, and file references are quoted.
