Series notes:
As in the case of GO34, many of the Governors replies to despatches from the Governor-General are to be found filed with the inward despatch (GO20); this is therefore not a complete file of the Governor's outward correspondence with the Governor-General, but rather a collection of stray copies. Confidential and secret despatches are included, as well as telegraphic. The series does not include copies of those despatches to the Secretary of State that were sent to the Governor-General.
