This series replaced LCC23, Correspondence Files, Numeric System, as the Launceston City Council's main filing system. File numbering in this series followed the Genasys computerised system introduced at the time. It was superseded in February 1999 as a result of a further technological record keeping upgrade.

It includes a small number of files culled from the main series. They relate mainly to community events of local and national historical significance including World War 2, civic receptions and anniversaries.
