Series notes:
The circular seeks Australian financial contributors to a Limited Company to be formed by Signor A.G. Diego Bernacchi for investing in livestock, fishing and crop production on Maria Island. Signor Bernacchi was formerly the representative in England of the silk companies, Societa Filatura Cascaini Seta of Milan and Messrs Arle, Dufour & Co of Lyons. He had obtained a lease of Maria Island from the Tasmanian Government primarily for the purpose of sericulture and viticulture.
