CITY PLANNING COMMITTEE Terms of Reference The City Planning Committee shall direct and determine matters relating the following subjects, within the long term plans and policies defined by the Policy Committee and approved by Council. 1) Development of plans and priorities for the City of Hobart in the areas of Land use, Parks, street trees and recreation facilities, Environment, Health. 2) Development of future plans and priorities for the City of Hobart, in conjunction with the Works Committee, in the areas of Roads, Water Supply, Sewerage, Drainage, Civil Engineering Works, Parking and traffic flow. 3) Recommendations relating to applications for building approvals. 4) Recommendations relating to all Council building projects and Council building maintenance. 5) Recommendations relating to the erection of buildings, hoardings, signboards, and verandahs. 6) Planning aspects of subdivisions.
