Formed to deal with matters relating to reserves in the Hobart Muncipality. All but the first volume has an index at either the beginning or back of the book.

The Committee was abolished in May 1932, with the final meeting in June 1932 and did not resume until May 1934 when it was reinstated by the newly elected Council. Between 13 February 1933 and 23 May 1934 the Health Committee (ref. series MCC16/68) was also responsible for reserves, the abattoir and buildings. The minutes of each meeting at this time are divided into these different responsibilities. 'The Mercury' newspaper occasionally referred to the Reserves Committee between 1932 and 1934 as though it were a separate entity but that was not the case.
