Series notes:
This series contains several copies of printed genealogical books by Samuel Smith Travers (Oxford, 1864), some containing additional information and some letters relating to the pedigree of the Travers family from the time of the Norman invasion till the late nineteenth century. Consignment 2 comprises genealogical correspondence from Henry Sides during 1861 - 1865. Sides was an employee at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. In addition there are letters from Robert Ingram to Samuel Travers together with some other genealogical correspondence.

The series also contains other Travers family correspondence and documentation.

Other items include a transcript of the following - a letter book 1874-1887 by S. S. Travers (indexed), letters 1898 - 1899 by Louisa Travers and correspondence 1873 - 1881 from John Amory Travers.
