How to Use:
It is the understanding of Libraries Tasmania that there are no living Hood family members to hold copyright of the original material. We recommend a risk based approach to usage. The chain of custody indicates that the material can be reproduced with due acknowledgement to Tasmanian Archives, Libraries Tasmania. Copyright in the transcripts made by Paul Tapp resides with Paul Tapp. These transcriptions may not be reproduced, in whole or part, without his permission.
Series notes:
Original copies of Sarah Hood's letters and writings written in pencil on scraps of paper - mostly brown paper "recycled" "Mercury" newspaper postal wrapping. Many of these fragments have accompanying transcriptions done in the period after Frank Hood's death in 1985 by Paul Tapp. Include Sarah's reminiscences which had been on loan to Sir William Crowther and are now returned to the Hood collection.

These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
